Admission Rules

GENERAL RULES:

a. Admission in the School is granted throughout the year.

b. Admission forms are issued @ Rs 100/- per form and Registration fees charged at the time of the admission as per the fee structure.

c. Children of serving Army personnel coming on transfer from out station are admitted anytime during the year and they are not denied admission.

d. Admission of civilian children to Army Schools is not at the cost of service children, the latter are never refused admission.However, at APS Khadakwasla admission is also granted to wards of defence civilians posted inside NDA,MILIT subject to existing vacancies/to ensure optimum utilization of school capacity.

 

PRIORITIES OF ADMISSION:

a. Children of serving Army / Air Force / Naval personnel (including DSC), children of Army Widows and children of those TA personnel who have a minimum of 10 years embodied service.

b. Children of Army Ex-servicemen, Retired Air Force and Naval Personnel, DSC pers Retd with Pension from DSC.

c. Children of ex Army personnel who left Army with less than 10 years of services and do not come under the category of ex servicemen.

d. Children of civilians paid out of Defence Estimates, Para Military Forces including Coast Guard, MES, GREF, TA (when not embodied).

e. Grand children of serving/retired Army personnel.

f. Other children.

 

Notes :

1. Children under e & f will be considered civil Children for the purpose of admission.

2.Children of civilian staff employed in the school will not be counted as civilians for admission purpose.

 

If there is an acute shortage of classrooms and there is difficulty in adjusting all children of serving Army personnel, Priority of admission will be as follows :

a. Army Public School Transfer cases and private recognized schools.

b. KV Transfer Cases.

c. Transfer cases from local schools.

 

PERCENTAGES OF CIVILIAN CHILDREN:

Admission is closed for civilian children in the of year 2023-24.The strength of civilian children will normally be at the ceiling of 10% subject to availability of seats.

 

CHILDREN OF FOREIGN NATIONALS /NRIS IN ARMY PUBLIC SCHOOLS:

Foreign/NRI children are allowed to be admitted in all Army Public Schools after completion of all formalities like checking of Visa, Passport and guarantee of character and conduct by two respectable Indian citizens with sanction of the Chairman, SMC.

 

MINIMUM CUT-OFF PERCENTAGE AS CONDITION FALLOWS:

a.For fresh admission to class XI,in the case of non APS transfer cases percentages of marks for various streams given above may be increased by 10% for categories laid down in Article 192(d) to (h).
